1979 Porsche 911 930 TURBO

In 2013 a complete engine rebuild and chassis overhaul. This 930 has been fitted with several engine and suspension upgrades as well as a Wevo shifter, Sachs clutch, front-mounted oil cooler, and custom front spoiler.

This 930 is finished in Grand Prix White and features rear fender Turbo decals, custom dual exit exhaust, and a custom front valence to accommodate the relocated oil cooler. It rides on factory 16” Fuchs wheels

The cabin is upholstered in tan leather with optional Sport Seats and features an upgraded Wevo shifter, MOMO three-spoke steering wheel, and new black “Turbo” script floor mats. The original AM/FM radio remains in place and an additional air/fuel ratio gauge has been installed to monitor the engine.

A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The engine has been completely rebuilt including shuffle pins installed by Competition Engineering of Bodfish, California as well as ported heads, new sport cams and springs, new valve guides, head studs, rod bolts, Raceware fasteners, Turbokraft injector blocks, new fuel injectors, all new fuel lines, B&B headers with heater boxes, and a larger turbocharger. The auxiliary air regulator (AAR) and turbo scavenge pump have been rebuilt and the warmup regulator has been made adjustable. The gearbox is paired with a Sachs clutch assembly and a new flywheel from Patrick Motorsports. The front suspension has been rebuilt with Elephant Racing Street rubber bushings and the shock inserts feature a 1mm larger shaft. The rear control arms were fitted with new bushings and the brakes were refreshed with new rotors from Andial along with new Cool Carbon pads. The floating front discs have new brake hats and new front wheel bearings as well as steel braided lines.
